With the winter chill in the air it's hard enough to leave the house to go shopping, let alone to go exercise! Yet with February being the National Heart Month, we encourage everyone to remember their New Year's resolutions and stick to a healthy diet and a regular exercise routine.
In this newsletter we are excited to introduce you to our newest instructor, Carly Hamlette and announce her exciting new morning class - Pilates Yoga Fusion!
Also, with Valentine's Day being right around the corner, we thought we would once again offer Partner Yoga Workshop with Swapna.

PILATES YOGA FUSION with Carly: The best of both techniques in one class!
Whether you are a seasoned Yogini who's always been interested in Pilates, or someone who's never tried Yoga but was always curious, you are going to absolutely love Carly's new class: Pilates Yoga Fusion on Fridays at 9:30AM.
This innovative and fun class combines the core regime of classical Pilates with the flow of Vinyasa Yoga. Explore creative sun salutations and warrior sequences blended together with the Pilates mat work.
Both Pilates and Yoga work together to elongate your muscles while bringing strength and stability to both practices. This class will also incorporate resistance training with the magic circles and Thera-bands. All level are welcome to take this class, and I am certain that people will love this class as much I do! |

PARTNER MEDITATIVE YOGA WORKSHOP: Fostering Love, Trust, Intimacy and Support on February 22nd at 6PM!
With Valentine's Day approaching fast we thought it would be a great time to bring back Swapna's special workshop. Partner Meditative yoga is a combination of ancient and modern yoga that focuses on the self as well as the relationship with the partner. The asanas (poses) utilize the forms and principles of individual postures while incorporating the presence of the partner to deepen the impact of the pose.
This workshop integrates the different disciplines of yoga practice that contributes to a holistic way of life and involves correct breathing and concentration, development of balance. 
It also explores the inner emotions within you as well as your partner while learning and reiterating the trust, love, stability and support for each other. This workshop fosters the spiritual, emotional and mental connection that exists between two kindred spirits.
My husband, David, and I both really loved the class the last time Swapna offered it and truly felt that it was an amazing experience for both of us. We hope you too are able to take this class with someone who'll be able to enjoy it with you!

CARLY HAMLETTE: Our Newest Pilates & Yoga Instructor!
Yoga has been part of Carly's life since she was a child. She was introduced to yoga by her mom, who taught yoga for children. Carly began teaching yoga six years ago and is a registered and certified Yoga teacher through Stefani Pappas's Devalia Yoga. She teaches various forms of yoga including Hatha, Vinyasa, Yoga Sweat & Freedom, Yoga for Seniors, and Iron Yoga Fusion. She has worked extensively with all different types of bodies and has always felt that the key to a good yoga practice is finding playfulness and fun.
Then, six years ago, Carly began to suffer from low back pain and read that Pilates can help to cure these types of ailments. After just a few sessions, her back pain decreased significantly and she was hooked! Carly was so intrigued with the way her body looked and felt that she decided she wanted to share her experience with others. She became certified in Mat Pilates through Pilates on Fifth/ Pilates Academy International and has been teaching others this classical method on the mat for five years.

I am truly pleased
by how much our studio has blossomed over the past three and a half years. From the humble and tiny space in the basement of an office development, we've grown into our current beautiful, sunny and spacious studio. From just offering private Pilates instruction, we've gone to now having over a hundred group classes a month.
Whether it's with Pilates, Yoga, "Core and More," or now "Pilates Yoga Fusion," our studio has in the past and will always continue to bring you the most exciting and challenging new ways of stimulating your mind and exercising your body.
