SUN
SALUTATION WORKSHOP
A Dynamic Yoga Experience
Thursday, January 18th @ 6PM
Monday,
January 22nd @ 11AM
with Swapna Gangadharan
This dynamic workshop will be a physically challenging workout aiming to kick-start your year and activate your chakras!
PRANA
MOVEMENT WORKSHOP
with Kathleen D'Angelo
Sunday
January 14th @ 11AM
with Kathleen D'Angelo
This class is based on
Sivananda yoga which nurtures its roots in India and follows a classical yoga
technique.
This consists of Pranayama
(yogic breathing), chanting ancient mantras, asana flow (various yoga postures)
and meditation. Yoga can teach you to bring your stress under control not only
on a physical level, but on a mental and spiritual level as well.
Through prana movement the
physical body will increase flexibility. Addition of Pranayama or yogic
breathing will increase the prana or electrical current in the body. The deep
relaxation will calm the body and prepare you for meditation which will instill
a sense of serenity and rejuvenation. This class is open to all levels.

PILATES TOWER CLASSES:
A group class on the Pilates machines
If you are looking for a new exercise routine to challenge yourself, or
are interested in a new workout to invigorate your body,
consider trying one of our numerous Pilates Tower classes.
Benefits of Pilates Tower Classes
These special classes start with the difficult
Pilates mat exercises and take them to a new level by incorporating the
resistance of the springs on the Tower units. Often the exercises are
made even more challenging by the use of the Magic Circle
and the Triad Ball.
Although these classes are taught in a group setting, the instructors
pay attention to each individual and the clients can pause or skip an
exercise if it proves too much for them.
How to sign up
Please note that we have only
five spots available in each Tower class. To assure that everyone
gets a chance to work out, we have in the Pilates studio a special Tower
book where you can sign yourself up for a class up to two months in
advance.
On the
1st Monday of the month we add another 2 months' worth of signup sheets
to the book. For example, on January 8th (studio
was closed on January 1st) we
will add February and March into the book. On Feb 5th we will add
April into the book. So please feel free to stop by that 1st Monday of
the month and sign yourself up as far into the future as you know your
schedule, whether it is a day, a week or two months in advance.
Waiting List
If the class you are interested in appears to be
full, please put your name down on the waiting list. Our clients cancel
usually with at least a 24 hour notice - this may allow you to take the
class after all.
We also use the waiting list to see if we need to add
another Tower class. If, for example, we notice that a number of people
consistently can't get into a class that is always full, we will try and
start a new class later that day or add a class at the same time but on
a different day. Our studio is genuinely committed to meeting the
complex scheduling needs of all our clients. |
