Our clients have been
asking us for months to add more beginner classes, more classes on the weekends
and more classes that incorporate meditation into the Yoga practice. After much
effort we were able to recruit Oksana Fitzmaurice (see bio to the right) to teach a Kundalini Yoga
class Saturdays at 9:30AM.
If you've never
done Kundalini Yoga you've been missing out on a Yoga technique that
is known as the Yoga of Awareness. It is supposed to help you
understand what your body needs to improve the quality of your life and
health. In addition, Kundalini Yoga can help you acquire the energy and focus to attain and
maintain these things through assuming the various Yoga poses and incorporating some meditation. This class is
geared towards the beginners and those who have never done Yoga, so absolutely no one
is going to feel lost or out of place.
Can you think of a more perfect way to jumpstart your
weekend?

Oksana enjoys Aikido, Iaido, Zen meditation and often incorporates
different elements of these techniques into her classes. She has taught Yoga in to
people of all levels of fitness and with many types of injuries. She volunteers her time to do Yoga with seniors at a
nursing home. She has built her
Yoga classes around the idea that a person should leave the
studio more refreshed, more fit and with a greater awareness and
knowledge of themselves. |

EVENING PILATES TOWER:
Your Two Tower Options

We have had such a robust growth among clients
who've tried the Tower classes and fell in love with them, that we are expanding
our Tower Class Schedule once more. Now you can take a Tower Class in the
evening twice a week, Monday at 6PM and Thursdays at 7PM.
You can also take a Tower class first thing in the
morning - Tuesdays at 8AM and, now, Fridays at 9:30AM.
Incidentally, we
are in the
process of setting up a specialty class: "Pilates for Teen Athletes." If you have a
teen seriously involved in a sport, they might greatly benefit from doing Pilates.
Professional football and baseball players, swimmers, dancers and equestrians all
use Pilates to gain a competitive edge, increase their strength, range of
motion, flexibility and to decrease the risk of injuries. Please let us know
soon if your teen athlete would be interested in joining such a specialized
Pilates class.
